Speaker:
Alysia Davis Osborne, Vice President, Planning and Development, Charlotte Center City Partners

Program Description:
Alysia Davis Osborne is an urban placemaker that works to improve public gathering places, community stewardship, and creation of equitable development strategies in the Charlotte community.

As Vice President of Planning and Development, Alysia contributes to strategically guiding the growth and development of Uptown, South End and West End and partners with organizations and citizens to advocate for innovative planning and urban design practices that enhance all the neighborhoods of the Center City. For the past three years, Alysia served as Director of Historic West and worked closely with neighborhood stakeholders and local businesses to coordinate Charlotte Center City Partners’ efforts to create and implement a vision for a strong neighborhood center that preserves and enhances existing neighborhood assets while attracting new investments into Charlotte’s oldest African-American neighborhoods. In this role, Osborne worked with the community to create a Tactical Plan, corridor branding and marketing, a small business development toolbox series and placemaking strategies to mitigate social and cultural displacement.
