Program Details:

Presentation of the “stories” of the planning for and execution of the variety of improvements and features that have occured/are anticipated on the Reedy and Roanoke Rivers in Greenville, SC and Roanoke, VA, respectively.  Jim Bourey, former City Manager in Greenville and Bern Ewert, former City Manager in Roanoke will each present overviews including the impetus, key considerations and lessons learned in each case.  Chip Boyles, Director of the Thomas Jefferson Planning District, will close the session speaking to the process underway for potentially similar initiatives on the Rivanna River in Charlottesville/Albemarle County and inviting attendees to stick around for the more focused Rivanna River session that will follow.
