CHKD is the only children's hospital in southeastern Virginia and northeastern North Carolina and the only free-standing children's hospital in the state. Additionally, CHKD Health System offers comprehensive pediatric services in more than 40 locations from Williamsburg to Elizabeth City, NC.

Tamika is leading the delivery of a 14-story, $224 million mental health hospital and outpatient center for children on CHKD’s Norfolk campus slated to open in 2022. Tamika will provide an update on this extraordinary facility and how it has been designed to address specific gaps in mental health care in our region.
