ULI in Action

ULI Virginia coordinates its many activities through a strategic, integrated, mission-driven Program of Work at the international, national and local levels.

ULI in Action

The Urban Land Institute has a long history of providing unbiased, practical ideas and best practices on land use and sustainable development. Communities can access the unique expertise of our members locally through ULI Virginia – Technical Assistance Panels.

We look forward to working together to identify challenges and provide recommended solutions for complex land use planning and development projects, programs and policies to your community.

Tailoring our Services to your Community Needs

ULI Virginia – Technical Assistance Panel (TAP)

provides comprehensive and strategic advice in response to a specific land use or development assignment.

ULI National – Advisory Services Program

ULI’s national advisory services program was established in 1947. ULI has completed more than 600 panels, in 47 states, 12 countries, and 4 continents.

Reality Check

Reality Checks were completed in Hampton Roads in 2012 and in Richmond in 2014. The data and conclusions resulting from these events  are currently being incorporated into implementation strategies by the local governing authorities in Richmond and Hampton Roads.

Resilient Region

ULI Virginia is actively involved in a White House pilot program to address issues relating to Sea Level Rise in Norfolk Virginia. In Cooperation with Old Dominion University and the Hampton Roads Planning District Commission, ULI Virginia has been holding a series of Resilient Region Reality Check events to support this effort.
