REAL ESTATE PROJECT MANAGER
The UVA Foundation was established in 1993 and is the successor organization to the UVA Real Estate Foundation, which was founded in 1986. Its mission is to engage in any and all matters pertaining to real property for the benefit of the University of Virginia, to provide administrative services to University entities, University-Associated Organizations (UAOs), and to use and administer gifts, grants, bequests and devices for the benefit of the University.
Job Snapshot:
The UVA Foundation is inviting applications for a Real Estate Project Manager to perform project management services for a variety of intriguing and diversified planning and construction projects.
Job Location: Charlottesville, Virginia
Responsibilities:
- Provides management of entitlement process for a variety of UVA Foundation development properties, to include comprehensive plan amendments, rezonings, and site plan submissions and approvals, among others.
- Provides management of the overall planning, design, and construction process for a variety of real estate development projects.
- Produces conceptual land planning and design concepts for a variety of projects as requested by the Director of Design and Development.
- Assists and partners with the Director of Design and Development and other UVA Foundation Directors and CEO with a variety of projects.
- Provides input and management of project portfolio and scheduling as requested by the Director of Design and Development.A successful candidate will have:
- a degree in Planning, Design, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (advanced degree is desired).
- excellent working knowledge of planning, architecture, engineering, and general construction concepts.
- excellent skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe products, and specific design and development software a plus.
- strong writing and verbal communication skills, strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
