NEXT Launch Party
NEXT Virginia
After age 35, ULI members age out of the (YLG) Young Leaders Group and into NEXT Virginia. NEXT was created for mid-career professionals, ages 35-50, to help advance as leaders within their professional careers while respecting their hectic work/life balance.
Content
ULI-VA members, ages 35-50, must have their date of birth included in their account profiles in order to receive notifications. ULI-VA members in this age range will automatically receive any notification for engagement.
NEXT Content is built primarily around multi-session programs in Q1 & Q3 each year. Single events such as project tours or guest speakers will be limited during the year. The NEXT multi-session programs will cover a topic relevant to mid-career professionals and offer opportunities for in-depth learning and close peer connections

- develop diverse skill sets in peer networks
- Get more done, better! Learn to avoid pitfalls, achieve higher visions, and work through challenges and constraints
The Peers and Careers program will launch in March 2024 and will host six, 2-hour sessions every two weeks. This first program flight will go through the real estate development process from start to finish and with real-world projects matched to it. Participants will meet representatives from topical projects and gain insight by understanding the obstacles and motivations of different professions involved throughout a project’s lifetime.
2024 Peers & Careers Program
ULI NEXT is excited to announce its debut flight for the cohort development program. This is a peer-to-peer program designed to create balanced teams with wide ranges of industry backgrounds and skills in real estate development. Each of the six-sessions in the program will highlight a stage in real estate development projects moving consecutively from start to finish.
The curriculum will provide opportunities to network, swap trade-skills, solve problems, and share real world experience with current projects. Expect to learn new perspectives while working with professionals of different skill sets and industry backgrounds. Upon completion, attendees will grasp the real estate development process, the professionals involved at each stage, and gain perspective on the unique obstacles they face.
