The second of a 4-part series, Michael Spotts, of Neighborhood Fundamentals will present different policy approaches and partnerships that have been successful in creating a more diverse housing supply. Discussion will touch on the following:
- General overview of best practices to broaden affordable housing
- Policy/Programmatic solutions based on the needs identified in the data
- How the process, entitlements, permitting, etc affect the supply
In addition to exploring national and regional data compared to local conditions, we will also be joined by representatives from the County of Albemarle, University of Virginia, City of Charlottesville, and Thomas Jefferson Planning District Commission to discuss the local policy and updates that are currently being worked on and considered.
