Deirdre’s responsibilities include short-term and long-term value creation initiatives, strategic planning, redevelopment strategies, property branding and creative ancillary income opportunities for Federal’s Virginia and Chicago portfolios, comprising 4.5 million square feet of real estate.

Deirdre joined Federal in 2007 as director, asset management. In addition to responsibility for mixed-use, lifestyle and community shopping centers, she spearheaded the development and management of regional paid parking programs as well as overseeing the regional property marketing and public relations programs and residential portfolio. Prior to joining us, she was vice president and general manager at Capitol Real Estate Services Inc. She also worked for Urban Retail Properties Company and The Rouse Company in a variety of management, marketing and leasing positions.

Deirdre graduated with a bachelor of science in business administration from Old Dominion University. She was awarded the ICSC Certified Retail Property Executive (CRX) designation in 2013 and Certified Shopping Center Manager (CSM) designation in 1995. Deirdre is also a member of the International Parking Institute (IPI) and NAIOP Northern Virginia, and serves on the board of directors of ArtsFairfax.
