    Program

This year’s conference will take a holistic view of the who, what, when, where, and why of community planning. Our speakers bring together a diverse background of experience and professions.

Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from Faith Linton with Oracle City about how her organization is working to get kids involved in the STEM field. We will hear from Ed Erfurt with Strong Town about how their efforts work to make places that are safe, livable and financially resilient.

Adam Ducker with RCLCO will then show some more examples of placemaking and urban redevelopment, sharing real life examples of work his organization has been involved in over the years.

We will have the opportunity to participate in a mini Urban Plan session with VCU's Robert Taylor, giving attendees a hands on experience before finishing the day hearing about the planning and work that has gone into making the Elizabeth River Trail an important and impactful piece of Norfolk.
